Paul joined Davy in 2003 from Merrill Lynch where he was a director in the global equity trading business, focusing on equity derivatives. He joined Davy to focus on alternative investments and was Head of Alternative Investments until 2010 when he was appointed Head of Global Investment Selection. In 2014 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Davy Asset Management. Paul is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Ireland. He is a graduate of UCD where he received a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) and a Masters degree in Financial Services (MBS) in 1995.
Chantal is the Chief Investment Officer of Davy Asset Management. She has 20 years of investment experience managing International and European equity portfolios, raising assets and developing investment teams. Previously, Ms. Brennan was the Managing Director responsible for AIG’s Global Small & Mid Capitalisation Equities businesses and a member of various investment committees. In 2010, AIG sold its third party asset management business which became PineBridge Investments where she was a Partner. Ms. Brennan received a Masters of Science in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University, a Masters or Arts and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from University College Dublin. She is a Member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals and the CFA Institute.
Jim joined Davy Asset Management in 2014 following the acquisition of Prescient Investment Managers (Ireland) by Davy. He began his career in Allied Irish Bank Investment Managers in 1999 after completing a BA in Business Studies and Accountancy. Jim joined the AIBIM Fixed interest desk in 2002 where he initially managed the cash desk. In 2005 Jim began managing government bond portfolios alongside his responsibility, overseeing the AIBIM liquidity and foreign exchange requirements. He became head of the Fixed Interest desk in AIBIM in 2011. Jim is currently responsible for the management of the various different fixed income mandates which include European, US, UK and Global government bond funds. He also manages tailored short term corporate bond portfolios.
Des has 25 years of experience within the fund management industry. Des previously worked as a Senior Fund Manager at Bank of Ireland Asset Management (‘BIAM’) with responsibility for European and Global portfolios. Prior to that, Des worked for Hibernian Investment Managers as Head of Equities, with National Mutual of Australia and at Paribas Capital Markets. Des has a Masters degree in Economics and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Mark has over twenty six years’ experience in the investment management industry. Mark joined Davy in 2014 as part of the acquisition of Prescient Investment Managers (Ireland). Mark currently manages the Davy High Yield Equity Fund. He has managed Global Equity Income strategies since 2008. Mark joined the Client Relationship Team at AIBIM in 1988. In 1992, he was appointed to the Portfolio Management Team, managing bonds and currencies, before moving to manage European equities in 1997. As part of the European equities team, Mark had portfolio management responsibility for Eurozone equities and sector responsibility for pan-European Telecoms and Consumer Staples stocks. Mark holds an M.A. (Economics) and an M.B.S. (Finance) from University College Dublin.
Oliver joined Davy Asset Management in 2014 as a Fixed Income Fund Manager. He previously spent eight years on the Davy Private Clients Strategy Team, advising clients on where best to invest across the Fixed Income spectrum and managing bespoke bond funds. He also worked closely with the Investment Committee, conducting analysis on macroeconomic and Fixed Income research. He originally joined Davy in 2006 as an investment analyst, having spent five years as a software engineer. He holds a Degree in Computer Applications from Dublin City University, and both a Higher Diploma in Economics and a Masters in Economics and Finance from NUI Maynooth. He is also a member of the Institute of Bankers and holds the International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID) certification from Reading University.
Jonty Starbuck joined Davy Asset Management Limited in 2015 as Fund Manager of the Davy Global Brands fund. Jonty has 15 years of investment experience including 8 years covering European consumer companies at T Rowe Price. Prior to this Jonty worked as a generalist supporting a global portfolio (2 years at T Rowe) and 4 years as a sell-side telecom equipment analyst at Morgan Stanley. Jonty holds a BSc (1st Class) and PhD in Structural and Theoretical Chemistry from Bristol University, UK, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
