As a developer, I deal with a wide number of web applications and services, with a constant focus on quality and consistent delivery. There is constant variety in what I do, so it’s always stimulating. Boredom is not an issue, put it that way!

In the IS department, I have found a fantastic place to learn, grow, and contribute. Ever since I have been working here I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the people that I have been working with. Each week we have team meetings to share ideas and discuss any technical issue affecting an individual or the group. Our team goal is always to improve.

In Davy you are constantly challenged to be better, and since I joined the company I have grown in every aspect, both personally and professionally. My technical skills have improved through training and as a result of working with new technologies and tools.

As a developer, each year I am involved in designing my development plan in order to decide which path I would like to follow. This enables me to decide which areas I would like to focus on, for example from business analysis to technology infrastructure. Wherever you want to go, there is support to help you get there.

There is also a strong emphasis on enjoyment and life balance, and we are all encouraged to participate in the many activities organised by the sports and social club. Here, I have played 7 a-side football, taken part in comedy nights and pub quizzes, tried my hand at white collar boxing and enjoyed the annual Christmas party.
