Ivan joined Davy Corporate Finance in 1991 and was appointed Managing Director in 2012. He previously worked in corporate advisory with Kleinwort Benson Limited in London. Ivan has more than 25 years’ experience advising companies from early stage through IPO and secondary fundraisings as well as mergers and acquisitions and debt capital markets transactions. He has been actively involved in high profile corporate transactions for many of Ireland’s leading public and private companies over that time. He has also advised Government and State-owned companies, notably in the sale of the Irish Lottery and the re-IPO of PermanentTSB bank. He is an honours economics graduate of University College Dublin and a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He is also a director of BES Management Limited and a member of the Irish Stock Exchange Rules Committee.
John joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2001 and has extensive investment banking experience advising clients across a wide range of sectors on Capital Market and Merger & Acquisition transactions including IPOs, equity issuance, UK/Irish take-over and other corporate and financial advisory experience. John previously worked for ABN AMRO Corporate Finance and PwC and holds a Masters in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.
Ronan has more than 25 years’ experience advising companies from early stage through IPO and secondary fundraisings as well as mergers and acquisitions and debt capital markets transactions. He has been actively involved in many high profile corporate transactions in the Irish and UK market in recent years.
John joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2015. He has extensive global investment banking experience advising on equity and debt capital raisings as well as mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Davy, John held a number of senior management positions with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and London and JPMorgan in London. Over the last 15 years, John has led transactions raising over US$75 billion for a wide variety of governments, private equity groups and corporates globally. John holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School and a Bachelor of Business and Law from University College Dublin.
Eugenée joined Davy Corporate Finance in 1997. She has worked on many high profile transactions including IPOs for permanent tsb, First Active, Malin and Mincon. Mergers and acquisitions on which she has advised include Ryanair in connection with its offers for Aer Lingus, the board of ARCON on its acquisition by Lundin Mining, the board of First Active on its acquisition by Royal Bank of Scotland, the independent directors of Abbey in connection with the offer by Gallagher Holdings, South Wharf in connection with the tender auction of its Ringsend site, Elan in connection with the spin-off of its neotope business to Prothena Corporation and the defense of a hostile offer by Royalty Pharma and subsequent sale to Perrigo, and Independent News and Media in connection with its disposals of INM Outdoor and of APN News & Media. She has also advised on numerous fundraisings by way of placings, open offers and rights issues, including those of CRH, DCC, Kenmare, Cairn Homes and Waterford Wedgwood, on share buy backs by Bank of Ireland, Ryanair, ICON and Abbey and on the debt restructuring of Independent News & Media. Eugenée is a graduate of NUIG (BA Law and Economics), a member of the Institute of Directors with a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction and a member of the Board of Governors and of the Executive Committee at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street.
Nicholas joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2007. Nicholas has been involved in many high profile transactions in the Irish market including merger and acquisition advisory, management buy-outs (MBO’s), private equity transactions, valuation, investment appraisal and debt advisory mandates. Transaction experience includes advising Permanent tsb on a disposal of €350m of loans to a global financial institution, Brennan Insurances on its sale to Irish Public Bodies, the NTMA on the transfer of deposit books and assets of Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Nationwide Building Society, Suir Engineering on its sale to Imtech N.V., AIB Group plc on the sale and subsequent merger of ArkLife Assurance with the Irish operations of Aviva plc, AIB Group plc on the sale of their 50% share in AIB/BNY Fund Administration to Bank of New York Mellon, an MBO of Cash and Carry Kitchens, Snap Printing on its sale to KMCM, Mercury Engineering on a corporate restructuring and valuation, C&D Petfoods on its acquisition of Primetime Petfoods UK and Barlo plc on its sale to the Quinn Group. Nicholas is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants and previously worked with AIB Corporate Finance and KPMG Corporate Finance. Nicholas has an honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters in Finance from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Brian has more than 15 years’ experience advising companies from early stage fundraisings, right through to IPO and other transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Brian's recent advisory mandates includes a wide range of public and private company transactions including the €453m acquisition of the Moran Bewley Hotel Group by Dalata Hotel Group PLC with related vendor placing, Westland Horticulture Limited’s pre-pack acquisition of the assets of William Sinclair PLC, the IPOs and follow-on fundraisings for Green REIT PLC, Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate PLC, Dalata Hotel Group PLC and Continental Farmers Group PLC. Other transactions include advising on the debt restructuring of BWG Ireland, the sale of NAMAIL and the €50m Preferred Equity investment into Ballymore International Developments Limited. Brian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Brian holds a Masters in Accounting & Finance from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from UCD.
Anthony is an Associate Director in Davy Corporate Finance having joined the department in 2003. Since then he has advised on a wide range of public and private transactions from fundraisings to M&A across a number of sectors. Selected transactions which Anthony has advised on include the public flotations of Falcon Oil & Gas ltd, Continental Farmers Group plc, Island Oil & Gas plc and Origin Enterprises plc, the sale of Suir Engineering to Imtech NV and of Snap Printing to KMCM; the public takeovers of South Wharf plc and Island Oil & Gas plc and the merger of IAWS and Hiestand to form Aryzta. Anthony previously worked in investment banking with Deutsche Bank in London and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and an MBA from Dublin City University and ESC Reims, France. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Member of the Institute of Bankers.
Fergal is an experienced corporate finance practitioner. Over the last 15 years Fergal has advised a variety of corporate, institutional, private and other clients on a broad range of transactions. He has extensive experience advising both public and private companies on equity and debt capital raisings as well as mergers and acquisitions in Ireland and overseas. Fergal has advised a range of Irish public companies across the food, healthcare, distribution, industrial and natural resources sectors on IPOs, secondary fundraisings, M&A and takeovers. Fergal is also experienced in the provision of strategic and financial advice across the energy, utilities and infrastructure sector in Ireland. Fergal joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2002 having graduated from University College Dublin with first class honours. Fergal has a Masters in Business Studies (International Business) from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD and an undergraduate degree in Business and Legal Studies also from UCD. Fergal is also a member of the corporate finance faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Michael joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2014 having previously held a number of corporate finance roles in both Dublin and London. Michael focuses on M&A and funding transactions (both equity and debt). Recent transactions include the sale and MBO of Irish Relocation Services, the acquisition of the William Sinclair by Westland Horticulture, as well as having had responsibility for Davy Group’s own recent and extensive M&A activities. Michael is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW), holds an honours degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and a Diplôme International from Sciences-Po de Paris.

Notable transactions include Ryanair’s attempted hostile takeovers of Aer Lingus; the Initial Public Offerings of Green REIT plc, Smurfit Kappa Group plc, Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate plc, Permanent TSB, the Dragon Oil plc €1.2 billion takeover offer by Emirates National Oil Company, recapitalisations of Bank of Ireland Group, the €1.24bn Rights Issue by CRH plc, the secondary placing of €1 billion Bank of Ireland Contingent Capital notes by the Minister for Finance and the €110m acquisition of Sterile Technology Group by Stericycle Inc. Brian holds a Masters in Finance from Queens University Belfast and a Bachelor of Science from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Daragh joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2009. During his time with Davy, he has worked with both public and private companies on a broad array of transactions, including fundraisings, M&A and strategic advisory mandates. His recent transaction experience includes: Glanbia on the sale of a majority interest in its Dairy Ireland segment, Bank of Ireland on a corporate reorganisation, Kenmare Resources on a $275m fundraising and capital restructuring, and the initial public offerings and follow-on fundraisings of Malin Corporation, Green REIT and Mincon Group. Daragh holds a Bachelor of Business Studies & Japanese from University of Limerick and a M.Sc (Econ) from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
Shane joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2016 to focus on Debt Advisory Services. He has 20+ years of domestic and international bank lending experience, incorporating Leveraged/Management Buy Outs, Corporate bank debt and bonds, Infrastructure and Energy Finance. Prior to joining Davy, Shane held a number of Executive roles at AIB, where he was Head of European Leveraged Finance at AIB Capital Markets and subsequently responsible for Corporate and SME debt restructuring at AIB’s FSG unit. He previously worked with KBC Bank and Deutsche Bank, is a graduate of University College Dublin (BComm), Smurfit Business School (MBS) and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA). At Davy, Shane works with private and public companies, advising on optimal fund raising options including Bonds, direct institutional funding, bank debt, alternative funders and mezzanine/private equity.
Ed joined Davy Corporate Finance in 2017. He has more than 20 years corporate finance experience having worked for Ireland’s leading entrepreneur managing numerous complex private equity investments across a diversified industry base with significant experience within the leisure, telecommunication, media and energy sectors. He has advised on a wide range of private M&A transactions and debt capital markets deals with international experience in the UK, US and emerging markets. He is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants having trained with KPMG Dublin. He has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Diploma in professional Accounting from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
