Brian O'Reilly

Head of Global Investment Strategy

Brian O’Reilly leads the Global Investment Strategy team at Davy Private Clients, and is a member of the Davy Investment Committee. In his role he is responsible for forming the division’s global investment and asset allocation strategy. Brian began his career as an analyst with Goldman Sachs in London before he went on to join UBS Warburg as a member of the banks global equity strategy team. He then worked for UBS on Wall Street during the financial crisis from 2006–2008, before being appointed Chief Investment Strategist for UBS Wealth Management in London. With over 15 years’ experience working for some of the world’s leading investment houses, Brian brings a truly global perspective to managing our clients' wealth.

Robbie Kelleher

Senior Investment Strategist

Robbie Kelleher is one of Ireland’s best-known and respected economists, and brings a wealth of experience to Davy Private Clients. Having started his career back in the 1970’s as a macroeconomic forecaster for the ESRI, the Central Bank of Ireland and then Irish Life, he became a founding partner of DKM Economic Consultants in 1981 before joining Davy. For 20 years from 1988 onwards Robbie was Head of Research at Davy, and was also the firm’s Chief Economist during that period and won many awards and plaudits as one of Ireland’s leading economists. In 2008 Robbie moved to Davy Private Clients, in response to the growing importance of the group’s wealth management division. Robbie is a member of the Davy Investment Committee.

Alan Werlau

Senior Investment Strategist

Alan joined Davy in 2015 from New York. He has over 25 years’ experience in asset and investment management, and advising high net worth clients and global family offices in his previous role at UBS Investment Bank. Prior to working at UBS Alan was also the founder of hedge fund Black Arrow Capital Management, and has held previous roles at Deltec Asset Management, Bankers Trust and JPMorganChase. Alan is a member of Davy’s Global Investment Committee, with particular responsibility for managing Davy’s UK investment offering. Alan holds a B.A in Foreign Service and International Relations from the Pennsylvania State University.

Aidan Donnelly

Head of Equities

With over 19 years investment management experience Aidan Donnelly is a senior equity analyst in Davy Private Clients. In his current role he is responsible for the global equity offering at Davy constructing bespoke equity portfolios for our clients. Prior to joining in 2006, Aidan worked for AIB Investment Managers as a fund manager specialising in large institutional portfolios of UK and US equities. Aidan holds an honours M.Sc. in Investment & Treasury from Dublin City University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder and Registered Stockbroker.

Bria Murphy

Equity Analyst

Prior to joining Davy, Bria worked within the asset management function of PwC’s audit department for over three years. Bria spent her first year in Davy working with the Portfolio Construction team in Private Clients before moving to the Investment Strategy team. As an equity analyst on the Investment Strategy team Bria supports Aidan Donnelly with the global equity offering. She is a graduate of University College Cork where she received a BSc in Accounting and holds a Masters in Accounting from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Bria is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant (ACA). She is a member of the CFA Institute, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
