Against the backdrop of competitive domestic markets, Cranswick has delivered a strong set of results. The African Swine Fever (ASF) situation in China has prompted a surge in Cranswick’s exports, +65% in the half and +94% into the Far East. The greenfield poultry site was commissioned in November and remains on track for completion by fiscal year end. The outlook statement is constructive and notes the medium-term opportunity arising from ASF. We see upside risk to our full-year operating profit forecast of £88.7m.
