A far better December; global markets gain 2.6% to finish 2019 with 23.7% advance

The MSCI AC World Index added 2.6% in December to bring the Q4 and year-to-date (ytd) gains to 7.3% and 23.7% respectively. The December climb contrasted with the 7.4% fall in the same month last year. The ytd advance of 23.7% is the best annual outcome for the benchmark since 2009 (+26.2%).
