We have revised up our forecast for Irish GDP growth to 5.5% in 2020 (versus 4.1% previously), mainly on the back of strong foreign direct investment (FDI), exceptional export performance and expansion in the multinational sector. In contrast, we believe activity in the indigenous economy was depressed in 2019 by Brexit uncertainty and should pick up slightly in 2020.
