Irish business and consumer sentiment up again in January

This morning’s Bank of Ireland Economic Pulse survey shows another substantial gain in January, with business and consumer confidence now both at six-month highs ¿ further evidence of rebounding sentiment since the threat of a ‘no-deal’ Brexit on October 31st has receded. Surprisingly, house price inflation expectations dropped back in January, but the survey was taken before election proposals to expand the Help-to-Buy scheme were announced.
