Sharp is the highlight of today’s trading update, both in terms of Q3 performance and capital deployment. The $37.5m Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing (BSM) investment is an excellent strategic fit and is in-line with management ambitions to add fill-finish capabilities to the Sharp portfolio. Furthermore, there is a path to full ownership in the medium term which, if exercised, would likely make BSM the largest acquisition in the group’s history.
