Labour’s first UK Budget takes centre stage

In a relatively quiet week for Irish economic data, the UK Budget will be closely monitored as Labour seeks to shift the economy’s prospects in a more favourable direction. Taxes will increase to keep current spending and revenue in balance, but borrowing for investment will likely increase on foot of a shift in the fiscal rules.
