Successful resolution of tax arbitration case

Tullow Oil has announced the successful conclusion of a tax arbitration case in Ghana. It is not liable for $320m of branch profits remittance tax. It is now looking to resolve two further tax cases with the government in Ghana. This removes a contingent liability and improves Tullow’s ability to refinance its debts.
