After 15 years at the helm of Symrise, Dr Heinz-Jürgen Bertram has announced his retirement. The retirement comes earlier than expected as Dr. Bertram’s current contract runs until October 2025. He was a talismanic leader and was responsible for the execution of the Pet Food strategy, which transformed the group and created substantial value for shareholders. He will be replaced by Dr Jean-Yves Parisot, the current head of the Taste, Nutrition & Health division. The appointment comes at a time of margin challenge for the group. Dr. Parisot will become CEO of Symrise, effective as of March 31st 2024.
