We attended dsm-firmenich’s recent ESG Expert Investor Event, which took place in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland. Our key takeaway is that sustainability is positioned as a core lever for performance, with governance, reporting transparency and capital allocation all structured to support group-wide sustainability integration. Sustainability is part of the group’s organisational fabric and is embedded across all business units, with a clear roadmap to reach net-zero by 2045. This will be supported by a €5bn investment in science and innovation by 2030. Importantly, customers and consumers continue to demand more sustainability-backed products.
