Based in York, Persimmon has previously built over 16,000 houses in some years across the UK (2017/2018). The group is the third-largest UK builder by unit completions and is a member of the FTSE 100 Index. Persimmon operates under three main brands: Persimmon Homes, Charles Church and Westbury Partnerships. Persimmon Homes is the group's core product, operating across two regional divisions. Persimmon Homes accounts for c.75% of all completions. Charles Church accounts for c.8% of units, providing a range of exclusive up-market homes. The Westbury Partnerships business focuses on social housing in conjunction with Space4, Persimmon's timber frame manufacturing operation. This unit delivered 703 units in H1 2024 at an average price point of Stg164,000. The first-time buyer, social housing and buy-to-let investors account for roughly 26%, 16% and 12% respectively of all house sales in H1 2024, with the remainder accounted for by the move-up owner occupier (i.e. a first/second/third time mover).
