Gavin was appointed as CEO Davy & Wealth and Executive Director of the Davy Board in November 2024. He is also the head of the Wealth and Insurance division of Bank of Ireland Group. Prior to assuming the CEO role, Gavin was Chief Executive of Corporate and Commercial Banking in Bank of Ireland. He also previously served as the Interim Group Chief Executive of the Bank of Ireland Group as well as the Chief Executive of Retail Ireland. He holds a Commerce Degree and an MBS from University College Dublin, and is a Certified Bank Director and a Fellow of the Institute of Banking. He is also the current President of the Institute of Banking.
Karena was appointed CFO in 2023 and Chief Operating Officer in April 2026. Prior to joining Davy, Karena was Integration Director at Bank of Ireland Group, overseeing the integration of Davy with Bank of Ireland following its acquisition. Karena has extensive financial services experience having held a range of business, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and transformation roles in Bank of Ireland Group, Finance Ireland, IBI Corporate Finance and KPMG. She is a group Non-Executive Director of New Ireland Assurance. Karena is a Chartered Accountant and holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in accounting from University College Cork and University College Dublin respectively.
Orla joined Davy in 2019 as Chief People Officer. She started her career with Marks & Spencer in the UK as part of their graduate management development programme. She worked in various locations in the UK before being asked to move to Dublin where she was involved with setting up the Grafton Street store. After Marks & Spencer, Orla moved to Coca-Cola where she set up a shared services organisation to service Europe, Middle East and Africa encompassing change management and working with 16 different nationalities on the management team. In 2003, she moved to Deloitte as Head of HR where she spent 16 years overseeing a period of huge growth and change.
Declan joined Davy in 2015 as Head of Financial Planning and was appointed Head of Private Clients in February 2023. Prior to joining Davy, Declan worked as a Consulting Actuary at Mercer before heading up the client team for Mercer’s fiduciary management offering in Ireland. Declan has over 20 years’ experience in financial services and is a Qualified Financial Adviser and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
Donough joined Davy in 2019 as Chief Investment Officer. Donough has overall responsibility for Davy’s investment offering, including asset allocation, product selection and portfolio management. Prior to joining Davy, he was Managing Director and head of the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs in London, where he was responsible for advising clients and overseeing client portfolios in the private wealth management division across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Donough joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 2000, working in investment research and strategy. He earned a PhD in Mathematics and a MS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000, and graduated from University College Dublin with a MSc in Mathematics in 1993.
Rachael joined Davy in 2020 and is Head of Strategy, Brand & Marketing. Rachael is responsible for formulating Davy’s multi-year strategy and leading our brand, marketing, digital, communications, and research functions. Prior to joining Davy, Rachael was Head of Group Strategy at AIB. Her early career was spent in professional services, specifically strategy and economic consulting. She holds a BA from Dublin City University in International Marketing and Languages and an MBS from the University of Limerick.
Ivan joined Davy in 1991. He was appointed Head of Corporate Finance in 2012 and Interim Head of Capital Markets in April 2026. Prior to joining Davy, Ivan previously worked in corporate finance in London with UK merchant bank, Kleinwort Benson. Ivan has extensive experience advising Ireland’s leading companies on M&A and equity and debt capital markets transactions. He is approved by the FCA and Euronext Dublin as an equity sponsor and by London Stock Exchange as a Qualified Executive for AIM. Ivan is also currently Chairman of BES Management DAC, a joint venture company co-owned by Davy for EIIS investment in emerging Irish companies. He holds a BA (Hons) Economics from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Ciaran joined Davy in 2011 as founder of the Davy Select business unit which (as of 1st January 2026) has over €8 billion of client assets. He has extensive technology and financial services experience, having held senior commercial and operational roles in multinational firms such as DCC, 3Com and KeyTronic. He holds a BA in Business from Dublin City University and is a registered stockbroker.
Caitríona joined Davy in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Chief Risk & Regulatory Officer in February 2021. Prior to joining Davy, Caitríona was the Treasurer for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Deutsche Bank AG. Caitríona has extensive experience in the area of financial services regulation and has worked in trade associations and banks in London, Frankfurt, Brussels and Washington DC. Caitríona is Chair of the Davy UK board and is a member of the board of the Guinness Enterprise Centre.
Damian joined Davy in 2013 as Head of Client Strategy. He was appointed Head of Capital Markets in September 2022 and Chief Financial Officer in April 2026. Prior to joining Davy, Damian was Managing Director at RBS / ABN AMRO Hoare Govett where he spent 17 years in a range of roles including equity product distribution, corporate broking and research. He started his career as a credit analyst in Ulster Bank Group. Damian is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holds a BSc (Mgmt), and is a Chartered Director. He was a non-executive director of the Irish Stock Exchange board for four years and is an executive director of the Davy Board and a member of the Davy UK board.
