The Capacity Building Working Group recently launched its report which recommended practical actions to fast-track sustainable finance skills in the Irish financial services sector.
Given the urgency of climate change and wider environmental and social issues, the group recognises the essential role financial services plays in driving the sustainable market transition. Having the skills and capabilities in sustainable finance are crucial to navigate the challenges and opportunities this presents.
Dr. Dorothy Maxwell, Head of Davy Horizons, our sustainability advisory division, is Co-Chair of the Working Group.
The group was established by the Climate Risk and Sustainable Finance Forum (Climate Forum) to assess the status of, and recommend action to accelerate, sustainable finance capability in Ireland’s Financial Services sector, with a view to enabling financial professionals to have the skills and capabilities to support the crucial role they play in the transition to the green economy.
