DAVY VIEW
Continuing a trend evident for a number of months, the first-time buyer (FTB) segment continued to perform strongly in February while the other key segments (movers and switchers) lag behind. There are significant supports available to FTBs of new homes, while the availability of existing properties continues to decrease – impacting movers. Although the picture is somewhat better than January, there remains some modest downside risk to our FY new mortgage lending forecasts.
