While market pricing has moved away from any further European Central Bank (ECB) rate cuts this year, this week’s flash inflation data for June could be pivotal. As a result, a number of speeches this week by ECB officials will take on additional importance. In the US, nonfarm payrolls for June are due a day early due to Independence Day. Ireland’s exchequer returns will also be published; June is a key month for corporation tax receipts and will be closely monitored.
